Our projects are primarily focused on the German market, though we also work on projects in other EU member states.

We mainly focus on electrical installation work of varying complexity – from smaller tasks to large-scale installation projects. Additionally, we provide locksmithing and welding services according to the specific requirements of each project.

Knowledge of a foreign language is not mandatory but is a great advantage. If you know German or English, your level will be checked during the introductory interview and you will then be assigned to a suitable project.

However, on every construction site, at least one member of the work team must be able to communicate in German or English.

To participate in a project, it is necessary to have valid:

• ID card
• trade license and A1 form (or applicable legislation)
• European Health Insurance Card
• professional certificate (for electricians)
• welding certificate (for welders)

Every worker should have their own basic equipment:

• protective work shoes with reinforced toe
• appropriate work clothing suitable for physical labor
• protective helmet
• reflective vest for better visibility
• toolbox with necessary work tools

Invoicing is carried out on a weekly basis based on a properly completed and approved hourly timesheet (Stundenzettel), which must be sent by email.

Invoice due dates are typically set within 21 to 30 days from the issue date.

Work shifts are usually organized into rotations of 3 to 4 weeks, followed by approximately a one-week break. The exact length of the shift can be adjusted individually in agreement with the site manager or client.

Yes, accommodation is always provided near the work site. Before the project starts, we will send you an email with exact address details and contact information.

Accommodation is prepaid, usually on a weekly basis. This amount is subsequently deducted from the invoiced agreed payment.

The first working day is important for the successful course of the entire cooperation. In case of any delay (e.g., due to transport), it is necessary to contact us immediately so we can inform the responsible persons on site.

We recommend discussing organizational matters at the start, such as working hours, breaks, shift length, and important project deadlines.

Freistellung (Freistellungsbescheinigung according to §48b EStG) is a certificate from the German tax office that allows invoicing construction work in Germany without the mandatory 15% construction withholding tax.

Document A1

Self-employed individuals working in another EU member state remain part of the Slovak social security system during this period. Document A1 serves as proof.

During each posting abroad, including short-term business trips, it is necessary to have the original A1 certificate. This confirms that the self-employed person is socially insured in Slovakia and subject to Slovak social security laws. Foreign authorities may check this document.

Document A1 is issued for a specific period and specific work abroad and must be valid for the entire duration. It can be requested by self-employed persons with an active trade license for at least two months. The Social Insurance Agency issues the document free of charge, with a maximum validity of 24 months.

Applicable legislation

Applicable legislation serves a similar function as Document A1 and confirms that the self-employed person remains insured under Slovak social security during work abroad.

This document is obtained through the Social Insurance Agency and is intended for work in EU or EEA countries. Unlike Document A1, it can be requested on the day the trade license is established.

Its purpose is to ensure Slovak legal regulations on social security continue to apply. Validity is limited to 24 months, after which renewal or a new certificate is required.

1. Filling out the application

Self-employed individuals must complete the appropriate application form for A1 or applicable legislation certificate in relation to work abroad.

Forms for both types of documents can be downloaded from the designated link.

2. Submitting the application

After completing, the application must be printed, signed, and submitted to the branch of the Social Insurance Agency responsible for the self-employed person's place of residence.

It is recommended to submit the application well in advance of the planned assignment to avoid delays in approval.

3. Document issuance

If all legal conditions are met, the Social Insurance Agency will issue the A1 or applicable legislation certificate and deliver it to the applicant.

The typical issuance period is up to 45 days from submission of the complete application.
